For our third semeter project, we (I along with my team members) have created a website for a Montessori school. Nowadays, almost every schools and colleges have their own websites. Websites are useful to provide information about their organization to the outer world and hence attract the attention of the child and parents.
Our website is mainly targeted for parents of primary level student (age group: 25- 35). It not only provides information of the school to the public but also allows parents to view their children progress in school. Appointed admin can add/delete/edit news, events and photos in the website.
This is how our website looks like when we have our first glance at it.
This is the gallery section of the website where the news and events will be posted along with their picture. On the left we can also see the facebook snippet of the school's facebook page.
On January 9, 2021, I got an opportunity to share my experience at the hub Convention on Students' Quality Circle (SQC). I discussed the takeaways and the values I learned as an SQCian. I went down memory lane as I used to lead an SQC team in my school.
For those who do not know what SQC is, it is a team of students who work together to identify, analyze, and solve their problems through a participatory approach using systematic tools and techniques. Students’ Quality Circle is a co-curricular activity that is integrated with regular courses at educational institutes. Here I am sharing few of the points that I learned from SQC.
I participated in nwHacks 2021 by nwPlus, my first hackathon ever. I got to learn various new things and meet and be friends with some new people. I, along with my team, created a simple web app that shows the local businesses around you. It detects the location of the user and then suggest the stores nearby.
The most difficult challenge for us was to tackle with 13 hours time zone difference among the group members. However, we divided our tasks efficiently and maintained good communication to overcome every issue we faced. I stepped out of my comfort zone as I worked in a completely new language/framework.
This is how our website looks like when we have our first glance at it.
This is pretty much what I have done till now. I will update it as soon as I have new experiences. Thank you for visiting.
A lot of things are coming so stay tuned.
